Saman is a non-profit Association established in 1981, which operates in the sector of prevention, recovery, social-working reintegration of drug addicts, pharmacological addicts, alcoholics and in a situation of serious social marginality.

Since 1996 the Association has been organizing its own intervention methodology, with the purpose of giving more articulated answers to the different calls for help, using a systemic- relational type methodology. What has implied taking in load the family, parallel to the patient’s therapeutic period, that have been demonstrated as being positively correlated to risk reduction of drop out and to not interrupting the patient therapeutic program.

Saman and its related Cooperative have been developing an intense project and program activity, with the active participation of many public and private institutions, capillary diffused throughout Italy and directed not only to strengthen interventions on prevention, damage reduction, treatment and social-working reintegration, but also intended on giving concrete help and support to the underage, regarding the risk of family situation and malaise conditions.

The Association is affiliated in the Legal People Register of Milan Prefecture in the number of order 112.

Introduces ten therapeutic communities distributed throughout the national territory and four Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Treatment and Psychotherapy Centers located in Milan, Rome, Naples and Apricena (FG).

In December the 9th 2004, the National Council of CNCA (Coordinamento Nazionale Comunitā d'Accoglienza) has deliberated the admission of Saman Association in the quality of member.
