SERVICE’S VALUES AND MISSION

The community “Le Vergini Nouve” was established in 1990 and is situated in the countryside in a fraction of Borgo Sabotino, in LatinaTown hall.
Accepts people with drug addiction problems, pharmacological dependence, alcoholics, multi- consumption, and also with psychiatric problems.

TYPOLOGY OF PEOPLE RECEIVED:

- Drug and alcohol addicted individuals

- Individuals with psychiatric comorbility

- 3 places reserved for people in house arrest regimen ( held by the Ministry of Justice).

Since 1998 The Community of Latina has diversified its own intervention, in order to offer an appropriate service according to the individual’s personal requirements. depending on the existing problematic, on the vital cycle phase that is passing through, of the expressed needs, the host is introduced in a specific module; within this module the intervention is calibrated following his needs, drawing up an individual project agreed by the host.

This community, is open to everyone, without distinction of race, sex or religion; people are received even when in pharmacological or in maintenance to be reduced substitutive therapy, in alternative measure to prison (entrustment or house arrest).

This structure is introduced in a national network of therapeutic communities, centres of reception and semi-residential structures that guarantee an integrated and continuous take in charge of the transferred individuals.
